The Wat Thai Temple is one of the most beautiful destination to visit in Kushinagar. This attracts tourists because of its unique & beautiful Architectural Design & Geographical Location.It is centrally located between Mahaprinirvana Temple & Ramabhar Stupa.It is opposite to Kushinagar Museum and in other way 50 meters from Japanese Temple.

This temple shows the model of forest monasteries having innumerable trees.There are variety of tree,flowers,orchids etc.. inside the temple campus which is widely spread in area of around 10 acres.This temple was built in order to commemorate the golden jubilee of King Bhumibol's accession to the throne of Thailand. Temple Administration also manage monastery, garden, health care clinic, library & a school for locals.

The foundation of this temple was laid in 1994,religious inauguration of this temple performed by the Supreme Patriarch of the Kingdom of Thailand in 1999 and finally opened to general public in the year 2001.
