Kushinagar Museum

Kushinagar Museum
Kushinagar Museum was built in 1992-1993 in Kushinagar.It has collection of many archaeological things found at the time of evacuation from various stupas. In early 19th century,this Museum was no more in existence so the many older and important statues,carved pans and artifacts evacuated from near by areas sent to Indian Museum, Kolkata.

Later Department of culture,U.P. proposed to build this Museum for storing artifacts like statues,coins,sculptures,clay seal,banner painting founded while evacuation from nearby areas and monasteries.
This museum is very good place for history ,art lovers & archaeologists.

There are some nominal charges for watching these historical collections.

Visiting hours are 10:00 am to 17:00 PM (except Mondays).
